How Time Flies By!

Oh my, I have blogged in so long! Apologies to my readers!
I have been so very busy these last few weeks finishing up last school assignments before my graduation last Saturday (two days ago!). The reality that I'm finished school hasn't sunken in yet and probably won't until September when everyone else starts up again and not me! That is, not starting up with schoolwork. The Lord has big plans for this next year, I'm sure of that!
I received some really beautiful graduation cards from some dear friends and I wanted to put some of their "words of wisdom" on my blog to encourage all of you!
A man who has been like a second father to me wrote this:
"Live life that first of all necessitates a deep and abiding faith in His sovereignty, along with a desire to be faithful in all things wherever you end up and whatever you end up doing. He will expect only that under whatever circumstances you find yourself that you remain constant in your devotion, steadfast in your being, trusting through adversity (and there will be adversity); celebrating in joyous times; always being light and salt; spreading that fragrance of the knowledge of Christ; being REAL and transparent in a world full of fakes; resisting temptation that will dishonour Him; repenting when that doesn't go well. Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men."
Another man who has been a great encouragement and "father figure" to me wrote Psalm 23 as a more personal Psalm and this just blessed my heart so much: (place your name where mine is and make it a prayer)

"The Lord is your shepherd Rachel (and yours), you shall not want of anything. He makes you lie down in green pastures; He leads you beside quiet waters. He restores your soul; He guides you in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. even though you will have difficult times ahead, you need not fear, for the Lord is with you; His rod and staff are there to comfort you. He prepares eternal life for you if only you will trust Him. He anoints you with His Word; Your joy overflows. Goodness and lovingkindness will follow you all the days of your life if you continue to trust Him and you will dwell in His house forever!"

The Lord is such a faithful God and I can't thank Him enough for all He has done in my life! And for blessing me with such amazing friends and encouragers in Christ!

Sunshine!

Well, the Lord has blessed us with some AMAZING weather this weekend and I am just so thankful for God's glorious faithfulness to His children!
The rain has been coming down in bucketloads for a few months now and remembering to be thankful for the weather has been quite trying. But I become all the more appreciative and excited when the sun appears again and the smells of summer are in the air!
I wanted to share Psalm 98. It is just a beautiful psalm and so encouraging on such a beautiful day!

"O sing to the Lord a new song,
For He has done wonderful things,
His right hand and His holy arm
have gained the victory for Him.
The Lord has made known His salvation;
He has revealed His righteousness in
the sight of the nations.
He has remembered His
lovingkindness and His faithfulness
to the house of Israel;
All the ends of hte earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the
earth;
Break forth and sing for joy and sing
praises.
Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre,
With the lyre and the sound of melody.
With trumpets and the sound of the
horn
Shout joyfully before the King, the
LORD.
Let the sea roar and all it contains,
The world and those who dwell in it.
Let the rivers clap their hands,
Let the mountains sing together for joy
Before the LORD, for He is coming to
judge the earth;
He will judge the world with
righteousness
And the peoples with equity."

Live for Eternity - Paul Washer

This is such an amazing clip and no matter how many times I watch it, it still gives me chills. I want to continue to proclaim the gospel boldly. So many people say, "Lord! Lord!" and He will say, "I never knew you. Depart from me." I want to be found faithful and true to my Lord Jesus Christ. I will not be a hypocrite.
Lord, you are ever faithful. Help me to remain ever faithful to You. That is my desire.
